Almost All you need is small knowledge about Task manager
What is task manager in OS ?? The one which will show and control the all processes which are running in OS. Am not able to post pictures here. am sorry for that.
Now you go press CTLR+ALT+DEL there will popup like to choose some options, choose task manager. (in Windows XP it will came directly when you press three buttons.
The below is your Task manager. directly go into process tab. you will find so many process which are going on.
in next step. with in it, you will have sub-tabs like, Image name, username, services like that. just press username. that will makes you all process are shorted by username. you will find two types only. One is with your Computer name( Here am having Administrator) and another one is system. you cant do anything with system process, if did anything then that will shoe you middle finger hehheheh LOL.
Find the process of TASKHOST.EXE
yes, this is the main sources of that virus.
NOTE:Make sure that this processes belongs to other then System.
Right click on that process and select END PROCESS TREE.
There you go.., now your PC is out of Short-cut Virus.
You are successfully removed your Short-cut virus. If you have any problem comment here. am sorry am new here.
